Who we are
The State Police Housing Corporation Ltd., is headed by the Board of Directors nominated by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and drawn from various user departments viz., Finance, Home, etc.The Corporation functions within the frame work of rules and regulations laid down by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The accounts are audited by Accountant General and its works are subjected to periodical scrutiny by State Vigilance & Enforcement department, and other enforcing agencies.
The Corporation is functioning on a no-profit no-loss basis and the accounts are rendered to the Government every financial year and also project wise. The Corporation has the distinction of maintaining up to date and robust accounting system. The Corporation is charging administrative expenses of around 10% over the actual cost of work, to meet the same. This component is factored into the estimate costs while preparing them. Also, the Corporation has internal audit & accounting system.
The corporation is engaged in execution of various types of Residential, Non-residential & Multi-storied Building works, campus layouts including roads and all allied services, pertaining to various Government departments. Basically aimed at servicing enforcement departments of viz., Police Prison and Fire, the Corporation is also undertaking deposit works pertaining to technical Education, State Ware housing Corporation Veterinary University etc to the technical standards.
The Corporation has built a strong reputation over the years and has been in the forefront in creating building infrastructure for the combined state of Andhra Pradesh and completed many landmark and prestigious building projects for the state.
The Corporation entrusts the works to capable contractors through tendering process on a web based e-procurement platform to have greater transparency and ensures fool proof & confidential bids and healthy competition. The Corporation is however open for offers from more number of departments and Institutions of the Government for taking up their works so as to strengthen and sustain its operations during the periods of fluctuations of the order flow from the government in the coming years
